Area Youth take part in Annual Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Meet

Over 125 area youth ranging in ages from 5 to 14 years old participated in the Vinton Parks & Recreation Department sponsored Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Meet on Monday, May 13 at the Karr Athletic Complex.

Vinton-Shellsburg Coaches launch V-S Venom

The Vinton-Shellsburg softball coaches started a brand new travel team this year called V-S Venom.  Last year, as a coaching staff, they decided that they would help train and develop the community’s youth to help make the softball program thrive in future years to come.

VS Girls Middle School State Track Meet breaks School Records

Broc Shaw earns first team honors as Vikings finish 8th at WaMaC

The rain stayed away but the winds were strong at the conference supermeet held at Saddleback Golf Course in Solon Monday. Broc Shaw carded a 78 to earn First-Team All-Conference honors.

7th and 8th grade girls track continues to impress

The 7th and 8th Grade girls brought home a 1st place in their 2nd track meet which was held in Independence. In 2 out of 2 meets, the girls walked away with a win, with the 7th graders taking 174 points.
