Independence won the meet Monday night shooting a solid 157 beating the Vikings who carded a 172. Ethan Fox was the medalist for Indee shooting a 37 while teammate Caleb Straw was the runner-up medalist carding a 38.
Broc Shaw led the Vikings shooting a 39. Other varsity scores: Sam Moen 44, Brayden Almquist 44, Seth Patterson 45, Jace Rake 51, and Ayden Bearbower 54. Graham Henkle who came in with a 51 led the JV squad. Other JV scores: Cayden Kelley 62, Hunter Hazen 64, Travis Hantz 64, Preston Tippie 65, Anthony Hilton 68, Isaac Allsup 70, Caleb Janko 70, Clark Schoch 70, Andrew Jessen, 71, and Marcus Neblung 74.
The Vikings travel to Benton Tuesday and to Waverly for a tournament on Saturday.
