Charles H. Wendel noted author and life-long supporter of Midwest Old Threshers died Monday, August 12, 2019, after battling acute pneumonia and kidney failure. Charles H. Wendel (Chuck) was born February 13, 1939, to Harry and Letha Risdal Wendel in Eastern Iowa. It was here that he tended to the family farm and first began to foster his love for machines and farm equipment.

Bill is survived by his siblings Gary Ervin and Pamela Hays; children, Richard Ervin, Paul Ervin and Malinda Stalvey; grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Mathew (Stalvey), Michael, Cierra (Ervin) as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
