Donald W Smith, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Vinton on November 27th, 2022. To honor Don’s wishes, there will be no public services. Donald was born May 18th, 1932, in Vinton Iowa, the son of Ralph and Susan Smith. A graduate from Lincoln High School 1950 in Vinton. He served with the United States Army shortly after the Korean war from 1953-1955 as a supply sergeant.

John L. Brody

John L. Brody, age 58, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at his home in Shellsburg following a sudden illness.  A Celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. John was born on January 5, 1964 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, the son of Gary and Monika (Minzel) Brody.
