ACT 1, says long-time performer Rick Primmer, is all about family – including the three generations of his family who have performed on stage together, and the family of performers he has grown to love through the local community theatre.
"What is it that motivates me to be involved with Act 1? I would have to say that Act 1 has allowed my family the chance to perform together on stage,” says Rick.

While most of the performers in the upcoming ACT 1 production of the musical "Sometimes a Rainbow" are older adults, the show does have room for younger performers.
And that, for one area family, has led to father and daughter performing together for the first time.
Kirk and Elsa Page are among the "tourists" who sing during some of the show's musical numbers.

The cast of “Sometimes a Rainbow” was in full costume at their rehearsal last night.
These costumes made the show come alive even more. Creativity was definitely used by all cast members which made it even more interesting. Dutchess, Bunny Fritch, wore her signature “Rainbow Coat” made of men’s ties along with her true homeless woman’s clothes.

“Divergent” plays the Palace Friday, April 18 through Thursday, April 24 at 7 pm, and Monday, April 21 at 2 pm.
The “Divergent” book trilogy by Veronica Roth is the latest adolescent/young adult sensation, with a storyline similar to that of “The Hunger Games” series. "Divergent" takes place in a rigidly structured, dystopian future where one extraordinary girl will serve either as its destroyer or its savior.
ACT I - April 14th, 2014 8:39 am

The cast for “Sometimes a Rainbow” continues to rehearse their lines and music in preparation for this musical comedy. As they rehearse at the Palace the show comes alive even more. “Mack the Knife” (Rick Primmer) has been sharpening his carving knife and is busy carving animals while Danika (Sherry Stout) is selling hot dogs and other doodads from her hot dog stand.
