Palace will NOT be showing Nebraska this afternoon...

The Palace will NOT show Nebraska at 2 pm today, and very possibly not tonight.  The Nebraska hard drive we received is bad, so we are in limbo waiting for a new hard drive to arrive.  Unfortunately, this movie was not widely released, so there are no hard drives in the area. Patrons should check the website (www.vintonpalce.org) or call the InfoLine at 319/472-9958 for and updated schedule.

Community is the key to ACT 1 success, says actor Rich Hainstock

Rich Hainstock (shown rehearsing with Bonnie Beyer) says community theater is an 'addiction.' Community, says Rich Hainstock, is the key ingredient to the success of ACT 1. Rich, along with his wife, Mary Jo, is among the cast members of this week’s “Red Velvet Cake War.” He plays the lead male role of Newt Blaylock, the one-eyed wig and worm salesman. For the role, Rich grew what he calls a “scary” beard, which he combines with a black eye patch.
