Viking Alumni Football team prepares for June 16 kick-off

The Vinton Shellsburg Alumni Football team held their first practice on April 1st to start preparing for their game Saturday June 16 at 7:00 pm at the Vinton High School Football Field against the Center Point-Urbana Stormin Pointers.

State Trap Meet: Red Cedar Shooters place ninth; Lebeda among top 10

Here are a few pictures from the State Trap Shoot from Saturday in Cedar Falls. In all, there were over 900 competitors. First picture is Wyatt Lebeda who placed in the top ten of over 900 shooters in the state with a score of 97/100 2nd pict.

Red Cedar Shooters place 9th at State Meet, 10th in trap league

  The Vinton-Shellsburg Red Cedar Shooters Trap Team finished its 2012 season with a 9th place finish at the Iowa High School State Trap Championships, and ranked 10th overall in the statewide league standings.
