Terry Lee Lint, age 66, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at his home in Garrison with his family by his side.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time.  Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg.

Albert “Al” Joseph Schulte, 88, of Norway, IA passed away unexpectedly July, 20, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.Albert was born January 1, 1932 to Albert C. and Matilda (Kahle) Schulte in Norway. He attended Norway High School. On August 12,1954, Albert married Dorothy Rieder at St. John’s Catholic Church in Blairstown, IA.

Kathleen Ann (Stallman) Bossler age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Garden View Care Center in O’Fallon, MO.Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:45 PM, Friday, July 24, 2020 with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.   Interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Fairfax IA at 10:30 AM Saturday.

Barbara Jeanne Lemon Smith, 80, went to her heavenly home Thursday, July 16, 2020 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics after suffering a stroke July 9, 2020.Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 24, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo with Chaplain Gordon Lewis officiating.

Arlene A. Voeltz Taschner age 101 was born September 22, 1918 at Howard, South Dakota and passed away in her home on Friday, July 17, 2020.A private service will be Sunday, July 19, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Keystone, Iowa.  Interment will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Luzerne. A memorial fund has been established.She was the daughter of Otto and Alma (Backes) Voeltz.

Marilyn K. Silker, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at University Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) Vinton, with Rev. Kurt Brubaker officiating.  Interment will be held at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.

Shirley Jensen, 87, passed away peacefully at the Vinton Lutheran Home on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from cancer.     Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg. Shirley Lou Saunders was born February 28, 1933 in Urbana, the daughter of James Russell and Anita Louise Sheeley Saunders.

Janice A. (Harder) Swick, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 17, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown, with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until 1:45 PM also at the church on Friday.

Donald Andrew Ernest Kuch, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Vinton Lutheran Home.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2020 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne with Rev. David Lingard officiating.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery with graveside military rites.  Due to Covid 19 concerns, there will be no public visitation at the church and social distancing will be practiced.

Darloe L. Vitek, 89, passed away in Weslaco, TX on July 10, 2020 after a brief illness at home with his wife Betty Lou by his side. He was born in Chelsea, Iowa on September 1, 1930 and lived in Iowa much of his life. After traveling the country and wintering in South Texas he [st]tled there in 1995. Survivors to cherish and remember him include his wife, Betty Lou of Weslaco, TX; sons, Dennis (Becky) Vitek of Forest City, IA and David (Cheryl) Vitek of Liberty Township, OH; daughters, Kathy (John) Bishop of Statesboro, GA, Pat Albertsen of Erlanger, KY, Darla (Jeff) Kromminga of Keystone, IA, Barb (Eric) Nielsen of Peoria, IL; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
