Micheal Lynn Douglas Sr., 67, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020.Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamsburg.  A celebration of Micheal’s life will be held at a later date.  Memorials or condolences may be forwarded to Pam Douglas 201 4th Street Van Horne, IA 52346Micheal was born on March 17, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Carrol and Salome (Scheinker) Douglas.

Lucille Katherine "Lucy" Myers

Lucille Katherine "Lucy" Myers, 92, rose up into the arms of Jesus on Friday, July 10, 2020. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, at First Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, where a memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. A mask is encouraged because of social distancing guidelines. Inurnment: private at Koszta Cemetery. Iowa Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Alden Jerome “Aldie” Morrison

Alden Jerome “Aldie” Morrison, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2020 at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall with Rev. Steven Rempfer officiating.  Interment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Colleen Clarke Doubek

Colleen Clarke Doubek, 61, of Urbana, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospice Unit, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. All  guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Gloria Jean Kies

Gloria Jean Kies, 65, of Brandon, Iowa, passed peacefully with her children by her side on July 1, 2020. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 11, hosted by her husband and their children at his residence. She born Feb. 5, 1955, in Dinsdale, Iowa, to Roy Dedrick and Violet Dedrick. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting, playing pool, dirt track races, her football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, and traveling, and briefly lived in Arizona.

Mona Ryburn-Upah

Mona Ryburn-Upah, 64, of Belle Plaine, IA (formerly of Des Moines) passed away July 5, 2020 at her home.Mona was born August 15, 1955 to Joe and Marjorie (Dale) Freeman in Des Moines, IA. She graduated from East High School, Des Moines in 1973. Following school, she worked for Cobbs Manufacturing until retirement after 32 years.Mona married David Ryburn Sr.

Joseph “Joe” Burkle, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2020 at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.  Social distancing will be practiced, and masks will be worn while in the building.Joe was born on July 6, 1935 in Arlington, IA,  the son of Irvin and Josephine (Westemier) Burkle.

Wayne Edward Kimm

Wayne Edward Kimm, 81, of Norway, Iowa, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha, Iowa.Wayne was born Sept. 28, 1938, to Wallace and LaVerne (Brecht) Kimm in Norway, Iowa. He graduated from Norway High School in 1957. Following school, Wayne worked for Amana Refrigeration and was a member of the Army Reserve.

Anita Marie Stimson

Anita Marie Stimson, 82, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2020, at Terrace Glen Village in Marion. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion with burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. A public visitation will be an hour-and-a-half before the service.
