James Michael “Barry” Adams

James Michael “Barry” Adams, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at his residence following a sudden illness.  A memorial service with full military rites will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2023, at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home in Vinton, with Pastor Phil Borleske officiating.

Roger Charles Prusha

Roger Charles Prusha, 84, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October 26, 2023 at Colonial Manor, Amana IA.Roger was born March 9, 1939 to Sylvester and Leona (Iezek) Prusha on the family farm in rural Chelsea. He started his childhood in Chelsea, moving with his family around the area before settling in Belle Plaine and graduating from Belle Plaine High School.

Donn Douglas Ashlock

Donn Douglas Ashlock, 71, of rural Brandon, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, after a short illness. A visitation will be held from 1 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point, Iowa. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery.

William J. Dilcher

William J. Dilcher, "Bill", age 84, of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 22, 2023, at Riddle Memorial Hospital.He was born in Vinton, Iowa and raised on a farm in Dysart, Iowa by his late parents, John E. and Barbara Tschetter Dilcher. Bill graduated from Garrison High School, Garrison, Iowa in 1957. Growing up, Bill played high school basketball, raised top winning barrow hogs at the fair and other awards.

Arleta Irene Lininger

Arleta Irene Lininger, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo, with her family by her side.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone, with Rev. Dean Duncan officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Luzerne.

Delbert D. Smith

Delbert D. Smith, age 93, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.  Interment will be at the Keystone Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Tara Hills Country Club.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023, also at the funeral home.

Michael “Mike” John Kramer

Michael “Mike” John Kramer, age 75, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, October 22, 2023Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, October 30, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana with Rev. Jim Brokman as celebrant.  Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, rural Urbana with graveside military rites conducted by the Walter J.

James “Jim” Schmuecker

James “Jim” Schmuecker, 84, of Vinton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, following a lengthy illness.  Private graveside services will be held. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Jim and his family.Jim was born April 20, 1939, in Watkins, the son of Alfred and Loretta (Brecht) Schmuecker.  He was a graduate of Norway High School.

Theronne "Dean" Bellinger

Theronne "Dean" Bellinger died Friday, October 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center-Waterloo.Dean was born on February 28, 1943, to Shelby and Eileen Loveless Bellinger of La Porte City. Dean began working at 9 years old, helping his father mow cemeteries and would then go on to do road construction and drive semi. Dean's father introduced him to steam engines which would grow into them creating Black Hawk County Steam Engine Club in the late 1950's, now known as Antique Acres.

Charles Curtis Corns

Charles Curtis Corns, 87, formerly of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October 22, 2023 under hospice care at his home in Omaha, Nebraska. Charles was born January 27, 1936 to Charles and Mildred (Kern) Corns in Marshalltown, IA. He owned and operated a photography business for many years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann West; children, Michael Corns, Michelle (Reggie) Parkhurst, Melanie (Mark) Blankenau and Mitchell (Samantha) Corns all of Omaha; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Cortney, and Caleb.
