Kevin Kem Sturtz
Kevin Kem Sturtz, 70, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away July 15, 2024 at his home. Kevin was born October 3, 1953 to Melvin and Emma (Trunk) Sturtz. Raised on a farm near Dysart, IA Kevin graduated from Dysart-Geneseo, class of 1972. Farming alongside is father, working for many local farmers and being involved in the FFA, Kevin developed a love for farming at young age. Rod Osborne O’Brien
Rod Osborne O’Brien, 52, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, in Van Horne, IA. The youngest of three siblings, he was born on March 1, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Daniel and Mary O’Brien. He proudly graduated in 1990 from Benton Community High School and in 1994 from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, with a Professional Golf Management degree. Emma Mae Campbell
Emma Mae Campbell was born December 25, 1934, at her home in rural Garrison, Iowa, the daughter of John and Elsie (Hinkle) Sturtz. She was baptized at St. Martin’s Church, rural Marengo in 1951. She graduated from Norway High School. Emma worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. Emma was united in marriage to Mitchell Franklin Campbell on October 27, 1957 at St. Mark Herdliska
Mark Herdliska, 66, of Norway, Iowa, passed away Friday July 12, 2024, at Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024, 11:00am at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rosemary Gessner, 97, of Newhall died peacefully on July 11, 2024, at Ridgeview Assisted Living in Cedar Rapids surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church in Newhall at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 15, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, at Maplewood Cemetery, Vinton, with Pastor Shane Klein officiating.
