Calvin Marcus
Calvin Marcus, age 87, of rural Prinsburg, passed away Saturday morning, July 29, at his residence under CentraCare Rice Hospice.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, at the Raymond Christian Reformed Church. Interment will be at Holland Township Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Ann Elizabeth Warner
Ann Elizabeth Warner of St Paul, Minnesota, 40, died tragically on July 22, 2023. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa February 8, 1983.A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2nd, from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Midway Pavilion in Como Park, 1199 Midway Pkwy St Paul, Minnesota bring a lawn chair and stories to share. Food and Water will be provided. Ann graduated from Belle Plaine, MN.
Ronald “Lars” Larsen
Ronald “Lars” Larsen, age 76, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at The Iowa City VA Medical Center. Ron was born on August 14, 1946 in Anamosa, the son of Kenneth and Betty (Griffin) Larsen. Ron graduated from Anamosa High School with the class of 1964 and then enlisted in The United States Navy and was assigned to the USS Cannon stationed out of Guam, serving 2 tours in Vietnam.
David “Dave” A. Keeling
David “Dave” A. Keeling, 72, of Belle Plaine, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Belle Plaine Specialty Care surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.David was born on Oct. 29, 1950, to Robert and Beverly (Shannon) Keeling in Crawfordsville, Ind. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1970.
Steven “Steve” Payne
Steven “Steve” Payne, 75, died Friday, July 28, 2023 at Mercy One in Mason City. There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Mt. Auburn Legion Hall. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.Steve was born February 28, 1948 in Waterloo, the son of Robert and Shirley (Quinn) Payne.

Jennie Mae Anderson, 72, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023 at UIHC in Iowa City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2023 at First Christian Church, Vinton, with Pastor Richard Jumper officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3 at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.

Alan Raymond Krueger, 72, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. In accordance with his wishes, his body was cremated, and inurnment will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Center Point is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donald Gene Albertsen, age 89, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 31, 2023, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church Van Horne, with Rev. David Lingard officiating. Burial will follow in the Keystone Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday at the church in Van Horne.

Helen Fern Martz was born November 1, 1930, to William and Fern Martz in Vinton, Iowa. Helen married Harold W. Purdy on June 22, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1961, they made a home and raised their family in Brandon, Iowa. She was an active member of the Brandon United Methodist Church, BASH, Garden Club, Women’s Club, VFW Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society.
