Mark Floyd Upah, 66, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October, 17, 2024 at Genesis Health Systems, Davenport, IA. Mark was born October 17, 1958 to Floyd J. and Adeline A. (Kubu) Upah in Marengo, IA. Mark grew up in Chelsea, IA and graduated from South Tama High School. Throughout high school and after, Mark farmed for Phil Fetter. He also worked at Tama Pack before moving to Belle Plaine where he worked DKM Manufacturing and Benco; earning his way to production supervisor. Warren Lee Holst
Warren Lee Holst, 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, October 3, 2024, at St. Luke’s Transitional Care Center, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. October 26, 2024, at Salem United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids with a Celebration of Life Gathering to immediately follow at the church. Hammes, 74, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 15, 2024.Visitation will be Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, where a Service of Remembrance will follow at 5 PM. Rikki William Young, 63, of Vinton died October 10th, 2024 at Allen Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 27th 1-4pm at the Vinton American Legion. Rik's focus in life were his children and grandchildren. After that it was the Kansas City Chiefs, his truck and his motorcycle.He is survived by his mother Kathy Smith, his children Dakotah (Katie and Kyra), Tristan (Jasmine, Nellii and Jordan), Jaden (Kiarra and Madilynn). June Marie Salerno, “Junebug”, born June 4, 1931, went to be with our Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 11, 2024. VanSteenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for June and her family.June was born, raised and lived most of her life in Upstate New York. Dennis Dayle VanDeVenter, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Harmony Cedar Rapids Memorial Services are pending at this time. Dennis was born on December 23, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Joseph and Inez (Runyon) VanDeVenter. He graduated from Washington High School, with the Class of 1963.
