Tilford Elementary Fine Arts Nights schedule
Tilford Elementary Fine Arts Nights celebrations will begin this week. The AKA through 4th grade students have been working on their artwork and music to share with you. Concert performances will be at 6:30 and 7:15 each evening in the auditorium. Student artwork will be on display in the lunchroom.Join us to celebrate with our Tilford Elementary students.
Mary Poppins coming to the Palace in August
ACT 1 of Benton County will be holding auditions for cast members to perform in the Broadway Musical Mary Poppins. 25-30 performers will be needed for the full cast. Auditions include singing scales, script reading and physical acting. Prepared audition materials are not needed. Auditions will be held on April 22 and 23 from 2-4:00 p.m. at the ACT 1 Centre located at 906 E Ave.

Belle Plaine performance of Park It scheduled for May 6
Belle Plaine is buckling up for the premier of, "Park It!" the play. The production will be at the Belle Plaine Longfellow Auditorium, May 6 at 2:00 pm. The intergenerational cast includes Belle Plaine students and several area adults. The comedy is set in 1965 and is based on stories that former area students and educators contributed to the book, "Park It!" The collection of humorous, but sometimes hair-raising, anecdotes covers 30 years in the drivers education car with former Belle Plaine teacher Wallace Winkie.
Vinton Community Choir to perform Sunday, April 16

CPU Middle School To present Once Upon a Mattress March 30-31
The CPU 7th and 8th Grade Choir presents Sweets and Theatrical Treats during the performance of "Once Upon a Matress."Senior citizens of the Center Point/Urbana community are invited to a matinee of "Once Upon a Matress." Silent Night in Algona features Iowa history during WWII
The Vinton Palace Theatre will be featuring, "Silent Night in Algona" over the weekend. During World War II, from September through December of 1944, Algona, Iowa was the site of a Prisoner of War camp. Holding Germans who didn't want to be involved in the conflict, the prisoners provide much-needed help to offset the shortage of labor caused by the war effort. The 2022-23 Voyager season wraps up next Saturday with our much anticipated Spring Show! Join us Saturday, February 25th at 7:00 p.m. for a night full of entertainment! This year’s show features solos, team routines, our Co-Ed routine, Voyager Kids Clinic dancers, Joan Cooling dancers, door prizes, and more! Tickets are $7 at the door; children 5 and under are free.
