Debra Ann Phelps, 52, died Saturday, October 8, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E 6th St) Vinton with Pastor Brian Channel officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Thursday. Interment will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery, Vinton.

Daniel Ross Hite

Daniel Ross Hite, 56, beloved dad, brother, uncle and friend passed away in his home on Sept. 16, 2022, after a short illness. Known by many names, Dan, Danny, Dano, Bro, Brother, was born Oct. 31, 1965, to the late Marvin Hite and Jane King in Vinton, Iowa.Dan is survived by his children: son, Tyler Hite of Vinton; and daughter, Seala Hite of Marengo, Ill.

Jeffrey Carl Marsh

Jeffrey Carl Marsh, 52, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at his home in Hiawatha, Iowa. No services are presently planned; a celebration of Jeff's life will be announced at a later date.Jeff was born June 11, 1970, to Carl F. and Nancy K. Marsh. He was a 1988 graduate of Benton Community in Van Horne, Iowa. Jeff was such a gentle soul and a friend to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Jessie "Scottie" Diers

Jessie "Scottie" Diers, 95, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Jessie (Dorward) Diers was born on May 21, 1927, in Brechin, Scotland, to Mary (Mollison) and Charles B.

Ruby Jane Kuhn

Ruby Jane Kuhn, 97, of Aitkin, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Aitkin Health Services, Aitkin.  She was born August 10, 1925, in Monroe Township, Iowa, the daughter of Leslie and Margaret (Morris) Coleman.  Ruby was united in marriage to Joseph Kuhn on July 1, 1942 in Walker, Iowa.  Ruby was a loving mother, homemaker and also operated the family dairy farm in Glen with Joseph.

Jerald “Jerry” Lee Timm

Jerald “Jerry” Lee Timm, 85 of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October 5, 2022 at Compass Memorial Healthcare, Marengo, IA with his family by his side.Jerry was born May 3, 1937 in Grinnell, IA the son of Ernest Carl and Dorothy Louise (Morrison) Timm. He was raised on a farm north of Ladora and graduated from Victor High School. Following high school Jerry moved to North East Oregon, where he met the love of his life, Bess Collins.

Thomas Harold Gordon II

Thomas Harold Gordon II, 64, of Shellsburg, IA passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022.Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 4:00- 6:00 PM at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Noon at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A final burial service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Adrian, Michigan at a later date.

John Edward Wilder

John Edward Wilder, 68 of Shellsburg, died Saturday October 1, 2022 at his home. Services: 1p.m. Friday at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedeear Rapids by Pastor Matt Magee. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home.John is survived by his children Jackie (Nate) Williams of Cedar Rapids, Julie (Jesse) Steffensen, and John (Amanda) Wilder both of Arlington, SD.

Philip J. Lowder, Sr.

Philip J. Lowder, Sr., 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, September 29, 2022.  A prayer service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Teahen Funeral Home by Rev. Nick March.  Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Private burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Walker.

Virginia Kline (Snyder) Bull

 Virginia Kline (Snyder) Bull, age 97, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at her home in Shellsburg.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 7, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.Virginia was born on January 10, 1925, in Vinton, the daughter of Ansel and Beulah (Kline) Snyder.  She grew up in Vinton and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1942, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.
