The 2023 City/School Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. The Vinton Kiwanis held the annual  Boomtown 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Kid run/walk on August 26th. The race collected food donations for the Wesley United Methodist Church's food pantry with the help of the local Fareway Store and their employee Ryan Tresnak.
