Joe & Vicki Price~ Playin' The Blues in Garrison

By Vinton Today · May 5th, 2019
Joe & Vicki Price play a "rough and tumble" version of the blues that will take you back in time. Be ready for some fantastic slide guitar and vocals that sound like they come from a 1920's speakeasy. Joe and Vicki are both in the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame. Joe was inducted in 2002 and Vicki was inducted last year! You will see why! They put on a great show! http://www.

The homeschool programs of both Vinton Shellsburg and Benton Community join forces each year for an annual play production. This year the play is called, "Vanished-A Victorian Tale."Performances are Friday evening, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon May 5th at 3:00 p.m.Admission is $1 for all ages (or leave a freewill donation greater than that amount and they will appreciate the extra help!)The play will be shown at the Tilford Elementary School Auditorium in Vinton.

I have to admit there's something intriguing about a play called, "30 reasons NOT to be in a play" that makes you want to see the play. I think two of my favorite reasons were zucchini and the other, well, Abraham Lincoln, honestly you can't argue the fact that the play at Ford's Theater went drastically wrong and should have ended plays right then and there.
