Four IMCA divisions take their turn on the track during Benton County Speedway’s Urbana 5 Memorial/Iowa Donor Network Night on Sunday, July 5.Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods run for $1,000 to win that evening. IMCA Modifieds chase a $700 top check while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $300. Additional sponsorship money and awards are to be announced.

Schulte & Docekal Score First Wins of Year At Benton County Speedway

Vinton, Iowa: Sunday night racing action was held at the “Bullring” on the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton, Iowa on another hot and windy night. Over 90 cars packed the pit area for another action packed night of racing. Kromminga Implement hosted the night of racing which also included the worlds largest Candy Dash, Christine Rublack was responsible for providing the kids with over 1,300 pounds of candy on Sunday night.

Berry Repeats, Young Murty Wins Family Feud at Benton County Speedway

Sunday night racing action was held at the Benton County Speedway despite afternoon showers that threatened the racing program. The rains stayed to the north allowing the racing to be held and a very fast program was held with the final checkered flag of the night waving at 7:52 pm.Tom Berry Jr. scored his second win of the season at the “Bullring” by topping a strong field of IMCA Modifieds in the Kiss Country 20 lap feature.

Cordes, Ritter, Olson, Vanous, Score Benton County Speedway Wins

Sunday, June 14th saw the second night of racing in 2020 at the Benton County Speedway in front of fans with another warm windy night with nearly 100 race car drivers packing the pit area.The Specialty Promotions group provided another excellent race track that provided plenty of side by side racing for all six divisions of race cars. The Kiss Country Modifieds 20 lap feature saw Benton County Speedway long time racer Troy Cordes out duel Dylan Thornton from California for the win.

Tom Berry Tops Sunday Night Racing at Benton County Speedway

For the first time in 2020, race fans were allowed to attend the racing action at the Benton County Speedway “The Bullring” in Vinton, Iowa. A good crowd attended the points racing season opener that saw 121 race car drivers take part in the action on Sunday night. The headliner of the night was the 20 lap IMCA Modified main event. Season Opener With Fans At Benton County Speedway Sunday, June 7

The 2020 point racing season will take the green flag this Sunday, June 7th at the Benton County Speedway, “The Bullring”. Under the direction of the Dripps family the Speedway located on the Benton County Fairgrounds has undergone many improvements and upgrades. The track is in excellent condition and with all the time and effort put into enhancing the surface, the track is going to be very conducive to extremely exciting racing.

Bailey Weeks earns a position on Iowa State National High School Rodeo Team

Bailey Weeks makes the Iowa State National High School rodeo team Bailey Weeks, a 10th Grade student at Vinton-Shellsburg High School, has earned a position on the Iowa State National High School rodeo team and will be traveling with fellow teammates to Lincoln, Nebraska, July 19-25 to compete at the 72nd annual National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFT) in the Cutting Horse competition.Featuring more than 1,650 contestants from 43 states, five Canadian Provinces, Australia and Mexico, the NHSFR is the world's largest rodeo.

Benton County Speedway Will Hold Open Practice Sunday, May 31

Vinton, Iowa: May 31st will be an open practice session for all racers from 4:00 pm to 7 pm. Pit gates will open at 3 pm at the “Bullring” located on the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton.The point racing season will open on June 7th with fans being allowed to attend the races. The racing action will get underway on June 7th with warm ups slated to take to the track at 4:30 pm with racing to follow at 5 pm.

Vinton Parks and Recreation Department Opens Pool For 2020 Season

The Vinton Parks and Recreation Department along with Staff voted Tuesday night to open the Vinton Community Pool for the 2020 season.The pool season will begin on Monday, June 15, 2020. There will be some restrictions that are in place at the beginning of the pool season. The first three weeks will heavily be geared toward lessons and private swim instruction.

Benton County Speedway Opens This Sunday, May 24

The long-awaited season opener at the Benton County Speedway, “The Bullring”, will be held this Sunday, May 24th. The season has been delayed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, still under Governor Reynolds restrictions, the racing season can begin but the grandstands will remain closed.The Dripps family will begin their first season as promoters of the “Bullring” and have come up with a very unique experience for the race fans.
