Richard (Rich) Dale Hulme

Richard (Rich) Dale Hulme of Katy, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, with his loving family at his side. He died following a two year illness with cancer. His family is hosting a Celebration of Life visitation on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the North Tama Activity Center in Traer, Iowa.

Ronald Alan 'Rajj' James

Ronald Alan James of Mount Auburn, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Services will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Mount Auburn United Methodist Church, with Pastor Michael Ferguson officiating. Ron is survived by his wife, Belinda Christensen James; his children, Jeremie Hecht, Amber Callanan, Simon Thomas Callanan and Matthew Callanan; three brothers, Bill James, Don James and Clarence (Bud) James; two sisters, Cheryl Childs and Pam Carnes; and his mother, Pauline James.

BLAIRSTOWN:       Alan Keith Kimm, 56, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 following an accident in Keystone.       A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown.  A Celebration of Life will begin at 6:15 p.m.

Arleen Hirsch LUZERNE:      Arleen Louise Hirsch, 68, died January 28, 2015 at her home following a sudden illness.      A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Church of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints in Belle Plaine.  Friends may register from 9 a.m. until service time at the facility.

Harry Manos III

Harry Manos III CEDAR RAPIDS:  Harry Manos III, 62 of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Urbana died Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.  Private Graveside Services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, rural Urbana.  Services will be conducted by Fr. Peter Andronache of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.

Paul David Coyle

VINTON:      Retired Naval Commander Paul David Coyle, 85, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Virginia Gay Hospital.      “Duty, Honor, Country” - Paul served his nation from 1947 to 1975 with distinction and honor in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Engineer.  Following his honorable retirement from the Navy, he servedas Director of School Maintenance, Facilities, and Operations in Simi Valley and Santa Barbara California.

Clyde Mason

Clyde Mason      SHELLSBURG:  Our beloved Clyde Marion Mason departed Earth for Heaven’s glory on December 27, 2015 at the Vinton Lutheran Home at the age of 89.      Clyde was born March 13, 1926 in Shellsburg to Oscar and Bessie (Sanders) Mason on a farm north of Shellsburg.  Clyde was united in marriage to Decie Cress on January 22, 1948 in Davenport.

June M. Edmond

Des Moines—June M. Edmond, 79, formerly of Vinton and Marshalltown, went home to the Lord Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines following a lengthy illness.  Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown with Pastor Kerry Jech officiating.
