Martha Mary Strong, 93, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, in Belle Plaine.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating.
Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea, Iowa. Kari Rahe (Klostermann) Peddicord
Kari Rahe (Klostermann) Peddicord, 37, of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully on December 18th surrounded by family and friends after a heroic battle with breast cancer. She was born October 14th, 1981 to Frank and Diane Klostermann in Cedar Rapids, IA and grew up in Atkins with her parents and brothers, Kyle and Korey. LaVonne (Koopman) Thompson, age 92, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne with Rev. David Lingard officiating. Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery in Newhall. Visitation will be held from 9:45 until 10:45, Saturday at the church.

Joyce A. Staab, 89 died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton. Private family graveside services will be held at St. John Cemetery near Newhall.

Helen Campbell, 96, of Belle Plaine, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.
Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, with Pastor Tom Petersen officiating.

C. M. “Jack” Wayson, 87, died Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the Vinton Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Vinton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jessica Crane-Munoz officiating. Thomas Elliott Lanham, 79, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 following a sudden illness. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
Tom was born December 24, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Robert and Ola Lipscomb Lanham. He was the oldest of thirteen children. He attended school in Williamsburg, Ohio.
Tom moved to Iowa in 1967 and was a self-employed painter.
Sally Lou Donald
Sally Donald, 75, of Van Horne, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15, 2018, after a short battle with cancer.
Sally was born on Dec. 20, 1942, at the family farm in Colo, Iowa, to John and Pauline Andrew. She graduated with the Colo High School Class of 1961. On July 21, 1962, she married her high school sweetheart Ron Donald. While giving birth to their first child, she said to the doctor, "I think there's another one" and she was right! A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be held at Mound Cemetery in Watkins at a later date.
