Ken Huelman, 73, died Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines after an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Jim Brokman as Celebrant. Wayne Thomas Newton, 84, departed this world for heaven on February 4, 2020 at his home in Blairstown. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with the Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Doris “Joann” Felker, age 86, died Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.“Joann” was born on April 1, 1933, the daughter of Vernon and Dorothy (Gray) Kisling, and graduated from Urbana High School. Lyle Naylor, 86, died peacefully at home Saturday, February 1, 2020 from a sudden illness.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, February 6, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton followed by burial in the Urbana Cemetery.Lyle was born November 2, 1933 in Brandon, IA, to Henry and Edna May Albert Naylor. Connie Kay Martinez Lutz, 72, died at her home surrounded by her children, Saturday, January 25, 2020, following a strong and courageous battle against stomach cancer.Connie was born on April 17, 1947 and delivered feet first as she always said, in Vinton, Iowa, to father Merlin and mother Katherine Lutz that farmed for many years near Vinton. Connie was proud of her upbringing on the farm and often spoke of selling eggs to buy a typewriter when she was young.
