Donald Henry Albers, 95, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 19, 2020 at the Keystone Care Center. Don was born in Keystone, Iowa on January 24, 1925, the son of Hartwig A. Albers and Anna (Witt) Albers. He graduated from Keystone Consolidated High School in 1942, excelling in basketball and baseball.Don served his country in W.W. II in the Army from 1945-46. John Walter “Jack” Bantz was born on March 11, 1943 to Franklin Gale and Maxine (Kelley) Bantz. Jack passed away peacefully at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City surrounded by family.Jack met his wife, Carol Land, in Long Beach, CA where he was stationed in the U.S. Navy. Harold J. Walitshek, 79, of Waterloo, died Monday, February 10, at NorthCrest Specialty Care. He was born August 22, 1940, outside of Jesup, the son of George and Caroline Nelson Walitshek. He married Lois Ferrie May 5, 1962, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waterloo. She died June 1, 2001. Harold graduated from Jesup High School in 1958, and was employed by John Deere as a machinist for 33 years before retiring in 1992.
