Virginia Elizabeth Hupfeld

Virginia Elizabeth Hupfeld died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday evening, April 12th. She was born the daughter of Emma (Gross) and Edward Wurtzel on March 30th, 1923 in rural Dysart, Iowa. She graduated from Dysart High School in 1941. She had two sisters, Lola Petersen of Dysart, Iowa, and Majorie Leise of Conrad, Iowa. They, along with her parents, and husband preceded her in death.

Kenneth L. Williams

Kenneth L. Williams, age 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating.  Private interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.

Beverly Ann Hodges

Beverly Ann Hodges, 84, of Bellevue, Nebraska, formerly of Vinton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Heritage Ridge in Bellevue.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton with Pastor Matt Magee officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Roger W. Marconi

Roger W. Marconi, 74, of Bertram, Iowa, passed away suddenly from cancer on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at his home. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Roger's life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.Roger was born June 1, 1947, in James City, Pa., the son of John Anthony and Elizabeth "Betty" Louise (Cummings) Marconi.

Petronilla R. Gardner Pint Yarrington

Petronilla R. Gardner Pint Yarrington, 95, of Independence, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 6, at Lexington Estates in Independence.She was born February 9, 1927, in Gilbertville, the daughter of Peter and Anna Neisen Gardner. She married LaVerne Pint on August 31, 1944, in Gilbertville. He preceded her in death on 1968. She married Robert Yarrington on September 10, 1972, in Galena, IL.

Max O. Kimm

Max O. Kimm, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Colonial Manor in Amana. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with Rev. Bernice L. Langstraat, 87, of Vinton, died Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, First Christian Church, Vinton by Pastor Richard Jumper. Burial: Maplewood Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 until the time of service. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Margaret Fuehrer

Margaret Fuehrer, 94, passed away Tuesday April 5 at Westridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Per Margaret’s request, there will be no service. Cedar Memorial will be in charge of her cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Camp Courageous or the charity of the donor’s choice in Margaret’s name.Margaret is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Walter) Okerlund, of Cedar Rapids and Teresa (Brad) Hulick, of Annawan, Illinois; four grandchildren, Nikki Vance, Trevor Okerlund, Damon and Rhett Hulick; sister Evelyn (Carl) Boice, sister in-law Maxine Miller, several nieces and nephews and her dearest friend, Deanne Henkle.
