Suzanna "Suzi" Steggall

Suzanna "Suzi" Steggall, affectionately known to her family as "Quits," died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Monument Hospital in Rapid City, S.D.Suzi was the youngest of five children. She was born Dec. 14, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, to Lowell and Nancy (Vanous) Steggall. She lived with a free spirit and loved hard. Suzi graduated from Jefferson High School in 1982.

Thelma June Rohlena

Thelma June Rohlena, 86, of Norway, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Celebration of Life services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Brosh Chapel.

Chad W. Geater

Chad W. Geater, age 49, of Ames, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames, Iowa.Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, April 28, 2022, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 2210 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50014. The Mass will be livestreamed and a link will be available on the Tribute Wall of Chad’s obituary on the Adams Funeral Home website.

Jeffery “Jeff” Martin Dunahugh

Jeffery “Jeff” Martin Dunahugh, 56, of Robins, died Saturday, April 16, 2022 at his home after a sudden illness. Service: 2 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2022 at Teahen Funeral Home by Scott Shannahan. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Teahen Funeral Home.Jeff is survived by his mother, Joyce Oldorf of Hiawatha; his beloved wife, Julie; six children, Drake Christe of New London, Mason Christe of Marion, Logan Welcher of Robins, McKenzie Ward of Fairfax, Quinn Sandberg of Davenport and Grant Sandberg of La Crosse, WI; aunt, Judy (Ed) Schaeffer of Shellsburg; his dog and constant companion, Brooke; many other extended family; and lifelong friends, whom Jeff considered his family.

Cathi Calderwood

Cathi Calderwood passed away January 1, 2022 in Iowa City, Iowa, of a short fight with pancreatic cancer. She was 67 years old.Cathi was born November 13, 1954 in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Carlos and Evelyn (Dvorak) Viall. Cathi grew up in the Belle Plaine area, graduating from Belle Plaine High in May of 1972. She met Willie the following year, while living in Cedar Rapids and working at Amana Refrigeration.

Milo Dale Fisher

Milo Dale Fisher, 85, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away April 18, 2022 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.Milo Dale was born October 22, 1936 to Milo Marcus and Maude (Jacobi) Fisher in Belle Plaine, IA. Dale graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1955. He started his career at Amana Refrigeration before enlisting in the U.S Army in 1957, traveling around Washington D.

E. Elaine Turpin

E. Elaine Turpin, 65, of Galesburg, died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center Emergency Room, Aledo, Illinois.Elaine was born October 15, 1956 in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of John Henry and Ruth Ione (Bonesteel) Olson. Elaine graduated from Washington High School in Vinton, IA in 1975 and later from Hawkeye Technical School.

Charles Edward McCubbin Jr.

Charles Edward McCubbin Jr. died peacefully in his sleep on Monday morning, April 18th, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.He was born the son of Charles E. and Dorothy E. (Fuller) McCubbin on August 30th, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio. He had two sisters.Charles proudly served in the United States Marine Corps 1st Battalion, 9th Marines Division; from 1966 to 1969 which included two tours in Vietnam with the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines Division; receiving two purple hearts for wounds sustained in combat.

Jeanne Crosby

A Celebration of Life for Jeanne Crosby will be held Saturday, April 23rd.Friends and family are invited to attend the burial, held at 11 am at the Mt Auburn cemetery.  Jeanne's family will be hosting a memorial lunch in her honor at 1130 am at the Mt Auburn legion hall, and we would love to have you there to celebrate the life of a wonderful

Donald Claire King

Donald Claire King passed peacefully with his family at his side on April 7, 2022, in Sarasota, Fla. He was born in Vinton, Iowa, on Aug. 26, 1929, the son of Morris Vern and Esther Marie Glass King. He received his elementary education in one-room country schoolhouses in Benton County. He graduated from Geneseo Consolidated High School, where he played in the Iowa State High School Basketball Tournament in 1945, at which time he determined that he would become a high school basketball coach.
