The Vinton Depot to get New Roof

Wow, are we excited! The Benton County Historical Society (BCHS) is looking ahead with plans for the Vinton Depot. We have received a $10,000 grant from the Benton County Community Foundation and a $42,000 HRDP grant from the State Historical Society of Iowa.

Operation Backpack receives donation from Quaker/Pepsi

Nearly 2000 pounds of food was donated to Operation Backpack which operates out of Tilford Elementary. The food was donated by Pepsi and Quaker Oats, who donates about 3 times a year.
