Dorothy Bess (Ratner) Beatty, Cedar Rapids (formerly of Shellsburg), passed away peacefully at her home on December 3, 2023.A Celebration of Dorothy's life will be held from 1:00 until 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg. Dorothy was born June 1, 1929, in Oak Park, IL. Her parents were Fannie (Ralston) and Alexander Ratner.

Sue Hathaway

Sue Hathaway, 76, of Keystone, passed away peacefully on Friday March 15, 2024, with family by her side. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday March 20, 2024, at Blairstown Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Diane S. Vorhies will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Sue was born on October 2, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Alvin and Lucille (Dietrich) Erger.

Jeanette Ruth Wilson

Jeanette Ruth Wilson, 87, of Walker, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2024, at her home. The family will greet friends from 12:30 - 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Mike Schultz officiating. Burial will take place at Lafayette Cemetery in Alburnett, Iowa.

Loretta E. Mollenhauer

Loretta E. Mollenhauer, 90, of Marion, Iowa died Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa. A private family graveside service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.Survivors include her children; Lee (Wanette) Mollenhauer of Solon, Iowa; Linda O’Brien of Marion, Iowa; and Richard (Becky) Mollenhauer of Waubeek, Iowa; nine grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Lyle Lee Bolton

Lyle Lee Bolton, 82 of Vinton, died on March 13th at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha from advanced esophageal cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vinton with Pastor Anne Williams officiating.  Military rites will follow the service.  Interment will be held at the Mount Auburn Cemetery following the luncheon.

Wayne “Bill” Hampton

Wayne “Bill” Hampton was born in Lineville, IA on February 20, 1935, to Lelah Mae Massey and Harl Leland Hampton. He went to be with Jesus on March 11, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He is survived by his wife Belinha of 46 years, Cedar Rapids; daughter Melissa Catalana (Mark) and grandchildren Mitchell and Lydia Peters all of Fenton, MO; nephews Doug Budner (Kathy) and Paul Budner, all of Phoenix, AZ; as well as sons John, Mike, Dan and Chris, of FL.

Steven "Steve" Palmer Raub

Steven "Steve" Palmer Raub was born on October 31, 1946, in Waterloo, the son of Earl and LaVaun (Palmer) Raub. Steve lived in Dysart his entire life and graduated from Dysart High School in 1965. He served his country in the United States Army Reserves from 1966 to 1971. On April 16, 1966, Steve was united in marriage to Cheryl Schlotterbeck. Steve worked for the Tama Benton Elevator and was a feed salesman for Wiecks Feed and Livestock.

William J. "Bill" Fleck

William J. "Bill" Fleck, 78, of La Porte City, died Friday, March 8, 2024, at his home.He was born January 25, 1946, in Waterloo, son of William C. "Bill" and Dorothy M. (Holland) Fleck. He graduated from La Porte City High School in 1964 and served in the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He married Dianne Mohr (Rager) January 22, 1966; they later divorced.

Carol Jean (Howe) Mahurin

Carol Jean (Howe) Mahurin went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 10, 2024.Carol was born on her grandparent's farm, northwest of Van Horne, Iowa on Feb 21, 1936 to Emmet and Frances Howe of Vinton, Iowa.Carol attended Vinton public school and graduated with the class of 1954. After graduation, Carol took a job at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Ronald “Ron” Douglas Bossler

Ronald “Ron” Douglas Bossler, 78, of Vinton, died on March 9th, 2024, at his home with his wife of 56 years holding his hand and surrounded by family. Ron was a “tough as nails” man that seemed invincible to his family but ultimately, his death was due to complications from pancreatic cancer, his third cancer after surviving non-Hodgkin lymphoma and prostate cancer.
