The Vikings traveled to Tama Monday to compete in a JV/Varsity golf meet with South Tama. The course was in good shape and the temperatures were good though the golfers did have to compete with the gusty winds. The varsity won their meet shooting 161 beating South Tama who shot 187. The junior varsity also won their part of the meet shooting 173 while South Tama shot 288.

Daniel Janssen was the medalist firing a 39 and Tyler Stueck was the runner-up medalist shooting 40. Austin Carolus led the JV shooting 40 and Brandon Geiger was the runner-up shooting 43.

Other varsity scores were: Bryce Shaw 41, Mike DeLong 41, Grant Noren 42, and Austin Bohnsack 44. Other JV scores were: Kyle Jorgenson 45, Tanner Cummings 47, David Bray 48, Caleb Bendull 50, Brian Stainbrook 53, and Aaron Henderson 53.

The varsity travels to Marion Tuesday and the JV/Varsity will be at Independence on Thursday.
