Sports : Five Vikes advance to District wrestling event

These five Viking wrestlers advanced to Districts; they will compete next weekend.

Vinton-Shellsburg wrestlers Michael Neal, Max Wehage, Steve Henry and Nick Hyland won first place in the sectional wrestling event on Saturday.

They, along with second-place finisher Dylan Wagner, will compete at the District event next Saturday, Feb. 14, at Aplington-Parkersburg, for a chance to earn a spot in the State Wrestling Meet.

The Vikings were also 2nd in team scoring.
