Nolan Haisman won the middle school boys race at the Benton XC meet.
Nolan Haisman was the top winner from Vinton-Shellsburg during the Bobcat Invitational cross country meet on Saturday. Haisman, and 8th-grader, won the middle school boys race by 30 seconds over the second place finisher. VSMS runners also finished in the third through sixth place slots during the event.
In high school races, Derek Dinderman was third in the varsity boys race; Lily Horst finished fourth in the varsity girls.
The varsity girl were fourth in team scoring; the boys were third. VS won the Middle School boys event.
