The regular season will come to a close with season championships this Sunday, August 18 at Benton County Speedway.   The IMCA weekly racing finale will include a special appearance by the PRO Late Model Tour for a Super Sunday event at The Bullring.

Dallon Murty was the $2,000 winner in the Bald Tire Bash Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. The event, which required a maximum tire tread depth of 1/8” in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car division, featured a 40-lap feature that Murty dominated once he got out front.

In what has become an annual event for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Christie Door Company, the Bald Tire Bash will highlight racing action this Sunday, Aug.

A pair of drivers made their first visits to victory lane Sunday night at Benton County Speedway.David Stremme and Brett Thomas earned the first Bullring wins of their careers as 95 race teams were on-hand to do battle at the Benton County Fairgrounds.

On July 14th, 2024, the Vinton Shellsburg Red Cedar Shooters Trap Team held a fun shoot at the Vinton Izaak Walton League,    and season wrap-up at Kula’s It’s Just Sauce,in Walker.

It was a memorable Sunday for Will Wolf at Benton County Speedway. The Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod driver raced to his career first win on the fast, smooth, quarter-mile Bullring.

In the 4th Annual Pitching for Pins, the annual fundraiser for the benefit of the Vinton-Shellsburg wrestling team, the wrestlers pulled off the first ever win over the Vinton Police Department.

The IMCA Weekly Racing season rolls on this Sunday, July 28, for Mountain Dew Night at Benton County Speedway. All weekly classes will be in action on The Bullring, including the INEX Legends presented by Legends.

If you are not doing anything this Saturday evening (July 27th), plan to join the boys/girls wrestling teams as they take on the Vinton Police Department in a slow pitch softball game at the 4th Annual Pitching for Pins wrestling fundraiser! The wrestlers will be coming for their redemption and working to bring home the traveling trophy for the 4th year in a row! Gates open & other activities start at 4:00 PM with the game beginning at 5:00 PM.
