BLAIRSTOWN:  Tina Marie Hootman, 43, of Blairstown died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center following a sudden illness. 

            A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown with Tim Casey officiating.  Inurnment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.  In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for her daughter, Bobbi’s future needs, at the Benton County State Bank in Blairstown.

            Tina was born October 2, 1970 in Iowa City to Paul and Virginia R. Mulholland Hootman.  She attended Washington High School graduating with the class of 1988.  She continued her education at Kirkwood Community College and graduated from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids.  Tina currently served as the Director of the Marengo Public Library.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and fishing, but she had a passion for reading.

            Tina is survived by her daughter, Bobbi Jeanne Vick at home in Blairstown; her parents, Paul and Virginia Hootman of Blairstown and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
