SHELLSBURG:     Renae Lee Thompson, 45, of Salem, NH and formerly of Shellsburg, died August 22, 2014 in Methuen, MA from complications of Asthma.

     Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St, Vinton with Rev. Darren Huckens officiating.  Interment of cremains will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.  Friends may register at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday the 27th.

     Renae was born January 1, 1969 at West Union, IA to Rex Richard and Paula K. (Senneff) Thompson and graduated from the Shellsburg High School.

     She was an Insurance Salesperson in Salem, NH.  In her leisure she enjoyed riding with friends on Harley Motorcycles, caring for her many house plants and trips to the Ocean.  She loved her cat “Kitty” and truly adored her grandchildren.

     Renae is survived by her parents, Rex R. and Paula Thompson of rural Vinton; her children, Mark (April Gunter) Thompson of Vinton, Halie Mae Banghart of Van Horne, and Jerry Duane Banghart of Vinton; her grandchildren, Serenity Renae and Justice Christine Thompson, Mark and April's daughters, and Jayden Michael Banghart, Halie Mae’s son; and Renae’s significant other, Joseph Bean of Salem, NH.

     She was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Richard Thompson; and her grandparents, Richard and Ruie Thompson and Duain Clifford “Red” and Donna Senneff.
