Mardell Johnson, 86, died at home on Saturday, July 1, 2023, surrounded by her husband and children.A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at First Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, where the family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine. Memorials may be made in Mardell’s name to the Belle Plaine Ambulance or the First Lutherans Women in Mission. Brittany Lynn Becker
Brittany Lynn Becker, 29, earned her “Angel Wings” Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Allen Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 11 at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton, with Rev. Brian Channel officiating. "Pat" Heidt, 95, of Independence, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, June 23, 2023, at ABCM Rehabilitation Center in Independence.She was born March 21, 1928, in Waterloo, daughter of Archie and Anna Olson Linde.
