Eleanor Lucille Coffland, age 96, of Van Horne, formerly of Blairstown passed away peacefully, on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown, with Rev. Jeff Schanbacher officiating.  Interment will be held at Cedar Memorial Cemetery.

Kathryn Ann (Cherveny) Brunssen

Kathryn Ann (Cherveny) Brunssen, 94, of Keystone, IA passed away suddenly, Sunday, June 18, 2023 at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA, with family by her side.Kathryn the daughter of E.J. and Libbie (Zavodsky) Cherveny, was born February 5, 1929, at home in rural Benton County. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School, and attended Coe College.

Andy Obiedzinski, 44, of Urbana, Iowa, passed away, Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his home. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, Iowa.Andy was born Jan. 14, 1979, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Bruce and Wendy (Staab) Obiedzinski. He graduated from Center Point Urbana High School and attended Kirkwood Community College.

Jerold Keith Peterson, age 81, of Ames, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at his home in Ames. He was born on March 26, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:30 am at Bethany Lutheran Church, 609 Giddings Street in Kelley, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kelley.

Ronald "Rocky" Preece

Ronald "Rocky" Preece, 61, of Cedar Falls, died unexpectedly on Friday, 6/9/2023. He was born 7/25/1961, in Kansas City, Kansas, son of James and Patricia (Cutler) Preece. Rocky attended Cedar Falls High School then entered the Iowa National Guard serving for over 30 years including a deployment to Iraq in 2008. He held other jobs over the years including Doty Construction, Zanotti Armor, Bertch Cabinet, Black Hawk Waste, Benton's Sand and Gravel and, most recently, Arends Excavating.

Betty Jane Hilsabeck Callaway

Betty Jane Hilsabeck Callaway, age 85, of Conrad, formerly of Blairstown passed away peacefully, and went into her heavenly home on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton, with her family by her side.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown, with Rev. Jeff Schanbacher officiating.

LeRoy L. Parizek

LeRoy L. Parizek, 85, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away June 15, 2023 at Keystone Care Center following a long battle with cancer. LeRoy was born March 29, 1938 in Clutier, IA the son of Leo and Anna (Vileta) Parizek. He graduated from Dysart Geneseo High School, class of 1957. Following school, he worked as a farm hand. In 1960 he was drafted into the U.
