Dick Kerdus and Mike Barron both area accountants, were Ambushed by a group from Vinton Unlimited on Wednesday. The two were told that they had an appointment so that they wouldn't leave the office, again.

HWY 30 claimed the life of 26 Year old Woman

A tractor-trailer, driven by Gary Kinsel of Omaha, Nebraska was traveling westbound on US Highway 30 approaching the intersections of 21st Ave. and US Highway 30 near the 229 mile marker while Baylee Nicole Hess, 26 of Des Moines was traveling northbound on 21st Ave.

Center Point woman killed, Vinton Man injured in Hit and Run

A Vinton man, Jack Greenshaw, 46 of Vinton was injured with non-life threatening injuries in the parking lot of a bar, Bully's North in Center Point. Greenshaw was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Twice Loved Toy Shop shares with the community, Twice

The Twice Loved Toy Shop, a project of the area MOPS group, (Mothers of Preschoolers) and MOMS next (for Moms of school aged children). Gathering gently used toys and accepting donations of new toys the group, organized and shared the toys free of charge to anyone who could use them.
