On Saturday, Francis Potter, 84 of Luzerne was driving a 2012 Ford Focus and towing a 1997 Home motorcycle ridden by Lorin Potter, 81. The motorcycle was being pulled by a rope.

In a press release from Vinton Police Chief Ted Paxton, he stated that on "June 9, 2023, at around 3:05 PM, Vinton Police Officers were dispatched to the 1300 Block of B Avenue for a male subject that had been injured involving construction equipment.

The Benton County Fair is underway! It takes many, many people to pull off the events at the fair. The displays are now in the Open Class Building (off to the left as you enter the fairgrounds) and judges have begun to award ribbons in the entries.

To operate as an open site, the site must be located at or in the attendance area of a school with 50.0%+ free/reduced or within the boundaries of an eligible census block.

Scott Hansen of Benton County Emergency Management spoke to the Vinton Kiwanis concerning preparation for disasters. He shared a list of supplies that families should have on hand, encouraging everyone to stock up a little bit at a time if they can't buy a lot of supplies at once.
