Blessed Hope Church, located behind Theisen's, will start off the year with the Sunday Night Live service, beginning at 6 pm, THIS Sunday evening, January 15th.

  Despite its strong agricultural market, Iowa imports most of its food from other states and countries. Event organizers hope to increase the amount of local food bought and sold in Iowa by bringing together state & national food buyers with local food producers.

    We have a lot of events and programs coming up soon, most of the youth will be receiving the flyers on the programs through their Friday folders at school.

Craig Chase, a Farm & Ag Management Field Specialist, will show you how to use enterprise budgets to make pricing, product mix, and production changes, use partial budgets to make investment decisions like machinery and land and how to use whole-farm records to evaluate how your business is doing and make educated business decisions.

VGH’s Diabetes Support Group will meet Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in the hospital cafeteria from 4:30-5:30pm. Topic: “Obstructive Sleep Apnea & Diabetes- Are Blood Sugars Affected?”  Presented by Kim/VGH Resp Therapy.

  Breast Cancer Survivors Group:  We will not meet the first Tuesday of January! We will meet for dinner (free will donation) at Windsor Manor at 6:00 p.

  School is out for Winter Break but does that now mean you have to be stuck inside and bored to tears watching rerun TV? Of course not! The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department has plenty of upcoming activities to keep Vinton-Shellsburg youth occupied while celebrating the holiday season!   The Winter Carnival at the Vinton Skate & Activity Center will take place from 9 AM – 11 AM on Tuesday, December 27th.
