Belgian Waffle and Sausage Dinner TONIGHT

...Friday, April 30 from 5-7 p.m. at the Don Bosco Hall in Urbana. The event is sponsored by the Urbana Library Board. It will feature waffles, sausage, strawberries, syrups, all you can eat!  Carry out is also available.

Big Bud in the Neighborhood

Big Bud, "The World's Largest Farm Tractor" arrived in Independence at the Heartland Acres Agribition Center, in more than one piece, but he's there! Because of his size, the tires, Big Bud's tires were hauled in on a flat bed trailer, and then Big Bud is reassembled at the site.

It's a Dog-A-Fair May 8

On Saturday May 8, at the Benton County Fair Grounds from 10a.m.-2:00p.m. an event hosted by the Friends of the Shelter will be held. This is a  community event that brings different rescues or shelters together to share ideas, raise awareness of issues facing homeless pets, provide fundraising apportunities and a chance to show off your dog! The Pawticipating groups include: Vinton/Benton Co.

Walk/Run for Life June 12 in Atkins; teams sought for ACS fund-raiser

The annual Benton County American Cancer Society Walk/Run for Life will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the Atkins City Park. This event allows teams and individuals to walk or run on a one- or three-mile course through Atkins or on the Roundhouse Trail.
