The Cedar River R.A.T.S. are preparing for the 3rd annual Cedar River Clean up on Saturday, August 7th.    This year's route will start at the northern most part of Benton County's 23 miles of Cedar, at the Mt.

                       Vinton, Iowa – Steve Murty is utilizing annual forages to produce both summer pasture and to re-establish tall grasses into a permanent pasture.

The PEO Chapter MZ will meet on July 12 ( Please note this is a change from the program book!) at 1:30 p.m. in the home of Pat Floyd, assisted by Dawn Larson.

The Garrison Fire Department will be having its annual barbeque, dance and car cruise on Saturday, July 10.  This event is also the community’s annual celebration.

Vinton, IA—Vinton Area Ministerial Alliance is partnering with AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) team Oak 1 to host “Science Run for Fun” to be held at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Track on Saturday, July 17, 2010.

After months of planning and many donations of time, effort and money by many in the Vinton area, the annual Party in the Park celebration begins tonight.

The Parkinson's Support Group meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at Windsor Manor. This month the Virginia Gay therapy department is coming to speak about options and resources for those with Parkinson's and general movement and strengthening tips.
