Events and Activities : VPRD offers Adult Flag Football, Labor Day Disc Golf Tourney

For those adults out there looking to get outdoors, enjoy the fall weather along with some physical activity, VPRD might just have what you need! Adult Flag Football League This pass-only flag football league will play Tuesday nights at Lion’s Field in September and October. Games will be 5 vs 5 with a maximum of 12 players on a roster. Registration forms are available at the Vinton Recreation Center and must be submitted with a $30 deposit by Friday, August 29th. Games will tentatively begin on Tuesday, September 9. League fees and number of games are dependent upon the number of teams registered. A minimum of 4 teams must be met to conduct the league so please register right away if you are interested! Labor Day/Fall Disc Golf Tournament VPRD will be hosting its annual Labor Day/Fall Disc Golf Tournament at the Riverside Park Disc Golf Course on Monday, September 1. Participants must register between 9:30 AM and 9:55 AM with the tournament getting underway at 10 AM. This 18-hole tournament has 2 adult divisions (determined by scores of first 9 holes) as well as a junior division (14 & under). The cost of this tournament is only $5 and there will be trophies, stake prizes and an ace fund awarded. Parking is available at the Vinton Recreation Center.
