Pauline Schutt, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Gardens of Cedar Rapids.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Dysart Cemetery

On July 27, 1932, Pauline was born to Emma (Zeman) and Louis Yuska.

She was the sixth of nine children. She married Curtis Schutt on October 18, 1951. Together they raised five children.

Pauline and Curtis loved to dance, play cards, camp and fish. Pauline made the best potato salad, and her ham gravy was her family’s all-time favorite. Pauline loved going to any casino.

She is survived by her children Cindy Herwig, Larry and Toby Schutt, Sandy and Richard Burkart, Lisa and Rick Miller and Jay and Colleen Schutt, Also her grandchildren Andria and Carl, Jenna and John, Jessica and Greg, Adam and Sarah, Brittni and Stephen, Andrew and Alexandra, Ben and Savanah and Alli and Joe. Her great-grandchildren MyKayla, Kai, Morgan, Jakob, Camryn and Britt, Dylan, Addy, Hudson, Jude, Henry, Malia, Zoey, Rose and Alice with another on the way and her three great great grand children Myles, Ryla and Baylor.

Also surviving are her three sisters, Marlys Clough, Joann Farrell and Shirley O’Conner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, great grandson Cole, brothers Robert and Arthur and sisters Irene Valenta, Lillian James and Doris Lohf.

The family would like to thank the Gardens and Essence of Life Hospice for her care in the final days and to Toby for caring for her as only Toby could do.
