Carol Carlyle, 79, died peacefully at home Saturday, July 17, 2021, following a battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Dysart with Pastor Daniel Hartwig officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.

Carol was born October 16, 1941, in Vinton. She attended school in Dysart, graduating in 1960. On June 11, 1960, she married John Chapman and they later divorced. On March 2, 1974, she married Keith "Skeeter" Corcran. He preceded her in death in June 1984. On March 14, 1988, Carol married Richard Carlyle at the Goodell farm in Vinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2016.

Carol worked at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart from 1979 until her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, the Iowa Hawkeyes, playing cards and daily walks with her dog, Dottie.

Carol is survived by children Al (Dixie) Chapman of Ollie, Kayleen Glenn of Dysart, Ken (Heidi) Corcran of Arkansas City, KS; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Clime, Des Moines and special friend, Sandy Prichard of Dysart.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Clime.

A memorial fund has been established.
