Saturday found the Vinton Fire Department collecting funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association with their "Fill the Boot" campaign. 

Residents were able to donate to the fund by dropping a donation in the boot of local firemen who volunteered to collect the donations. The group were at the intersection of C Ave. and 4th St. on Saturday morning.
