Rylee Sash

Rylee Sash is the daughter of Kevin and MaryJo Sash and has two older sisters, Payton and Olivia Sash. She lives on a small farm outside of LaPorte City and currently attends Union High School. After high school, she plans on going to Iowa State to double major in Event Management and Hospitality Management.

In school, she is involved in the fall play, spring musical, dance team, group speech, individual speech, Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP), band, choir, color guard, FFA, National Honors Society, and the volunteer program. She has worked very hard for her grades, achieving Honor Roll and A-Team every trimester of high school. Being a member of the LaPorte-Dysart FFA Chapter has given Rylee many learning opportunities, her favorite is being able to compete in the state-level Floriculture contest. Outside of school, she is a member of the Bruce Boosters 4-H Club and Benton County Council. She is currently serving as president of Benton County Council.

Next year, Rylee plans on staying active with school activities. She plans to join DubH and Event Management Club. She intends to pursue leadership roles in both clubs.

In past years, she has had the honor of receiving her chapter degree and greenhand degree for FFA. She has also received the Mayor's Top Teen Award for her volunteer service to her community last year. This year, I have had the honor of receiving the 2021 Chick-fil-A Remarkable Future Scholarship. I also received the Bill Hahn and the Wayne and Neva Leo Family Scholarship.

Rylee is also very busy with work, she currently works at Chick-fil-A in Waterloo. She has also worked at the LaPorte City Family Aquatic Center for the past three years. She has been the assistant manager, lifeguard, and cashier.

Rylee has been participating at the Benton County Fair since she was in 4th grade. She has always shown meat goats and static projects. Rylee has also shown at the state level for five years.
