42° North Winery Celebrates its first year with a BIG Party this Saturday

Mary and David Paustian celebrate their first year of business David and Mary Paustian are excited to celebrate their first year in business at 42° North Winery. For the next three weeks, the couple will have the winery open on Saturday. On September 24th and October 1st there will be Taste and Take events from 1-4:00 p.m. However, on October 8, they will host their "BIG Party." From 2-4pm there will be music by Todd Frank and the Cedar River Whalers.

It was nice to catch our breath a little bit in September with a lighter schedule and a week of vacation too, but we are back at it for another great October!You will find us for public events in Amana, Atkins, Belle Plaine, Laporte City, Dysart and Manchester as well.We are booking heavily for 2023 already with a LOT of dates already taken. Shelters and rescues are busting at the seams across the nation. We have intake requests daily and the sad truth is, so does everyone other animal rescue. For this reason and others, feral cats and kittens don’t always make it out of rescue.But at Better Together, if we commit, we commit.Wholeheartedly and 100%.Including this kitty.Born to a feral, it’s no wonder this cat is a feral too.

Vinton Unlimited Welcomes Pourville to their new location

Pictured: Teresa Meyer, Gary and Dandeena Schadle and Melody Snow Vinton Unlimited welcomed Pourville Art Studio & Gallery to their new location in downtown Vinton. Following the sale of its former location last December, the shop was without a home until August of 2022.  Pourville has had a presence in Vinton for the last three years. Pourville displays and offers the artistic creations of 39 artists from Vinton and surrounding areas.

Iowans Against Breed Bans

Through her philanthropic clothing brand, Pupper Mom Apparel, Stephanie Sanders successfully raised over $1,000 for the non-profit organization - Cedar Valley Pit Bull Rescue in Waterloo. Pictured is the rescue’s founder, Donna Penne, posing in the t-shirt Stephanie designed. Through this fundraiser, she hopes to bring awareness to breed specific legislation in Iowa and is working closely with the citizens of Keystone, IA.

The Niche and Brickside Brew-N-Chew Ribbon Cutting

The businesses are located at 115 W. 4th in downtown Vinton. The Niche and Brickside-Brew-N-Chew were welcomed by Melody Snow of Vinton Unlimited who wished the two businesses well in their endeavors. The two area women have made their dreams a reality.
