Sports : Viking boys 5th at WaMaC West meet; Ervin leads team with 39

The boys golf team finished in 5th place Monday at Gardner Golf Course in Marion.

The course was in good shape and all 8 teams enjoyed a beautiful day for a round of golf. Waterloo Columbus won the meet shooting 149 and had five medalists. Independence was second with 162 and had one medalist.

Benton was third with 165 and had Jacob Germann as the third place medalist. Marion was fourth shooting a 167 with one medalist.

The Vikings shot 170 and Daniel Ervin placed eighth shooting a 39. Williamsburg was sixth shooting 171 had one medalist. Clear Creek-Amana was seventh shooting 187 and Center Point-Urbana placed eighth shooting 201. Other Vinton Scores were:
