Sports : VPRD arranging charter bus for State Basketball

The Vinton-Shellsburg boy's basketball team is headed to the State Tournament in Des Moines and we are offering a way to get you there as well!

The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting signups for a seat on a chartered bus headed to Des Moines to watch the boys play on Tuesday, March 5th.

The cost of this trip is only $18 per person and includes transportation, parking, ticket to the game and a brown-sack supper for the ride home. The chartered bus will begin loading at the Vinton Skate & Activity Center at Noon and will depart at 12:30 PM. Game time is at 3:45 PM and the bus will head straight back to Vinton following the conclusion of the game.

The minimal cost of this trip has been made possible by the generous support of John's Qwik Stop and the Merchant’s Grilling. Individuals must register at the Vinton Recreation Center and must pay at the time of the booking.

There are 53 seats available so hurry in to reserve your spot! Registrations must be made by Friday, March 1.
