Nolan Sagan led off the evening, running the first leg of the Vikings's first place 4 x 800 relay.
Ryan Webster was third in the 400M hurdles.
Kelyn Rickels scored 32 of the Vinton-Shellsburg track team's 196 points, leading the Vikings to first place in the Viking Invitational in Vinton, Thursday evening.
Rickels won the 400M dash and the high jump for the Vikings. Other winners included: Wyatt Lyons, 800M run and 1600M run; and Darrin Charlier, 400M hurdles. The VS 4 x 100, 4 x 800 and 440 M shuttle hurdle relay teams also claimed first place.
Six teams competed; Benton Community finished second with 118 total points.
