Sports : Little Vikes team places second at Alburnett

The Little Vikes earned many trophies and second place as a team at Alburnett Friday.

On Friday evening 16 local young wrestlers headed over to Alburnett. Several from Vinton-Shellsburg earned trophies, including: Gabe Sanders, 1st place; Brady Ortner, 2nd place; Cooper Sanders, 2nd; and Austin Kemp, 4th . The V-S Little Vikes Wrestling Club brought home 2nd & 3rd place team trophies from the event.

Those placing at the CPU individual wrestling event on Sunday included: Brady Ortner, 1st place, Brock Radeke, 1st; Austin Kemp, 1st place; and Ryan Lane, 2nd place.
