Sports : This Sunday is Back to School night at the races

The Lil Racer Car Club at Benton County Speedway welcomed 47 Lil Racers to the clubhouse last Sunday night. Racer #49 stock car and K3 sport mod driver Kyle Olson of Cedar Rapids greeted fans in the club's Car Port outside the main gates, while handing out goody bags, filled with plenty of surprises, to the kids.

Twelve door prizes were awarded plus the Lil Racer of the Week sponsored by Tootsies Ice Cream and More of Vinton was awarded to a young lady named Lilliana!

This Sunday, hobby stock driver, the 52 of Joren Fisher of Garrison joins us in the Car Port an hour before hot laps! Lil Racer Crew Chief Janice Smith and her husband Larry of Traer have collected supplies and filled 150 backpacks for "Back to School Night at the track this Sunday. Bring the kids and take home a free backpack, Just in time for school to begin.
