It is early in the season to play an 18 hole tourney, but it is a valuable experience for our team. Several of our golfers were playing 18 holes for the first time. We were glad to have Lillie Lamont return from being ill this past week. Even with limited practice, Lillie earned a 6th place medal and had the fewest putts for V-S. None of our varsity counters had outlandish putting numbers. We need to eliminate some penalty strokes, continue to work on consistency and make wise choices with club selection. Again, this finish allowed us to see how every stroke counts as we were fourth by one stroke! I was proud of our team members and their efforts.

Monday we will participate in a dual at Independence Three Elms course for varsity and JV.
